Yesterday October 3rd, I had the pleasure of shooting a most beautiful union of Tara and Martin Ferrington. They were wed in the lovely Winter Garden room at Somerleyton Hall, Lowestoft. Although the weather did let us down a bit, both bride, groom, family and friends were in the best of moods and it was truly a lovely day.
I wish them both all the best for their future together.

A couple of years back I was commissioned by a man in America, to create a series of black and white, artistic nude images. They were for a website called Formositas. About a year after the commission I decided to purchase the site from him as he was not using it.
Formositas to me is a celebration of women. The square format locks in the shape and curves of the female body and with the help of some light shadows it creates an intimate yet classy portrait.
At the moment I am preparing the relaunch of www.formositas.co.uk.
I have been busy shooting for the Formositas calendar 2010 and have had the pleasure of working with some great girls, they’ve all done a fabulous job.

As many photographers who shoot at gigs and music related events know, one tend to do a lot of work in the dark. My images of musicians and artists are known for being on the darker side. I tend to favour black & white in a lot of my work but specially in music.
Gig In The Park is a music festival held in Halesworth, first weekend of August every year. This year I was asked to shoot a band called Red Of Rogue, as well as a side project of Tom Daniel. As it was mid-day I find it best to keep the colours.

First update of the new site. I’ve chosen this image for my first post, it’s one of a set of four wich I did for my Degree show. The images were printed on acrylics, size A2.
The photos were taken near my home in Norway, on the island Askrova, which you’ll have a hard time finding on a map as it is very little. It’s on the west coast amongs many other small islands.
The title for these four images were “Derelict Memories”, they represent memories from my home, people who live there still and people I have lost. The main image above for example, stands on it’s own on an even smaller island across form mine. One of my neighbours grew up in it, she is 80 + and still running around like she’s in her 20′s, the house is barely standing.
The images even caught the attention of the Eastern Daily Press, this is what they had to say:

After the Degree Show I was asked to display the images in a Norwich shop window, as part of the Aurora Festival. They were hung at the Laundry Room. Once the festival was over they were moved to the St.Andrews Church on St.Stephen Street in Norwich, where they hang as part of an exhibition.

These images are available for purchase as prints, or you can buy the originals printed on acrylics. The acrylics are a one of and comes as a set of four. PLease get in touch for more information.
